 MICROBLADING

EYEBROW MICROBLADING

Microblading is done using a hand held tool. The tool has multiple micro-needles at the tip that resemble a fine blade; hence the name microblade. The strokes of the microblade create a crisp line which heal and create a natural and feathery look.

  EYEBROW CARE

PRE PROCEDURE

  • Prior to your procedure, think about what you want your eyebrows to look like. As experts in the field, we will ensure that the correct color and shape is chosen for you. However, you are an important part in the decision making process. Bringing photos of desired eyebrows are encouraged.

  • In order to achieve the best results, permanent cosmetics enhancements typically require multiple sessions. You are advised to return for a follow up procedure 4-6 weeks after your initial visit. You will be charged $50 for your follow up appointment.

  • Be prepared for the color to be significantly sharper, darker, and more intense immediately following the first procedure.

  • The color will become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to fourteen days.

  • Since areas of the skin may be swollen or red the day of the procedure, you are advised to keep activity for that day to a minimum.

  • Please wear your normal make-up to your first appointment.

  • Do not take aspirin or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to the procedure. If you are concerned about pain, refer to Tylenol. Do not discontinue medication before consulting your doctor.

  • Keep alcohol intake to a minimum 24 hours prior to the procedure.

  • Do not use Retin A skincare products close to the area of enhancement.

  • Waxing treatments should not be performed within 3 days prior to the procedure.

  • Laser hair removal should not be performed within 2 weeks of the procedure.

  • Electrolysis treatments should not be performed within 5 days of the procedure.

POST PROCEDURE

  • The microbladed area will go through three phases: 1-healing process, 2-peeling phase, and 3-fading stage.

  • After treatment the area may appear red, swollen, and darker in color.

  • A follow up procedure is required 4-6 weeks after the first appointment. This gives the eyebrows time to heal.

  • Avoid putting your face directly into the shower.

  • Don’t apply makeup to the brow area for at least 7 days.

  • Avoid activities that may cause sweat around the area for at least 7 days.

  • Stay away from chlorine for at least 7 days.

  • If there is any blood or lymphatic fluid weeping from the eyebrows, gently blot with a tissue.

  • After showering or washing your face, apply a fine layer of aftercare ointment to the eyebrows. You can also apply to the area if you notice dryness or scabbing.

  • Only use water to wash the treated area.

  • After the scabbing has stopped, you will notice a difference in the color.

  • Once the area has healed, keep the tattooed area out of the sun to prevent the color from fading.

  • It is suggested by The Red Cross that you do not give blood for 6 months following your procedure.

  • This procedure appears as an artifact on an MRI scan. Some clients may experience a tingling sensation during their MRI. Please notify your radiologist.

  • Dermal fillers and Botox may alter the shape of the eyebrows.

  • Laser or pulsed light hair removal or skin rejuvenation treatments

  • can cause color change – it is important to advise your therapist that you have had a Microblading procedure.

  • To maintain the color of your brows, it is recommended that you undergo a color boost procedure every 12-18 months. This is in addition to your touch up 4-6 weeks after your initial procedure.
